The Maremma Natural Park, also known as the Uccellina Natural Park, covers an area of 9800 hectares and extends in all its majesty, along the coast of the Maremma coast from Principina a Mare in the municipality of Grosseto to town of Talamone in the municipality of Orbetello.
The Maremma Natural Park is characterized by an impervious and wild chain of hills, a typical landscape of the “uncontaminated” Maremma, which descends towards the sea with sandy beaches and steep cliffs.
A unique place in Tuscany where wild nature meets and creates an inseparable union with the vastness of the sea.
The Maremma Natural Park presents landscapes and fauna of various kinds: the typical fauna of the scrubland areas is composed of wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer, porcupines, badgers, foxes, reptiles of various species and many birds. In the grassy and flat areas instead, at the foot of the Uccellina mountains, you can find grazing Maremma cows and Maremma horses.
