The coast of Marina di Grosseto is a beach about 4 km long that for the quality of its services and water has been awarded the Blue Flag. Marina di Grosseto is located halfway between Castiglione della Pescaia and Principina a Mare, so from here you can also reach the beaches of the neighboring municipalities.
The bottom of this part of the coast of Tuscany is not very deep, and the slight slope makes the area ideal for beach holidays with children.
Continuing in the direction of Castiglione della Pescaia you reach the nearby beach of Marze: here the winds allow you to practice activities like kite and windsurf without difficulty.
The natural and wild aspect, accentuated also by a wide expanse of dunes, makes the Marze one of the most popular beaches in Tuscany. And finally, those who go on holiday to the sea with the dog: the Bau Beach is the stretch of beach to which the faithful four-legged friends are granted access.
Marina di Grosseto and Principina a Mare, on the other hand, are practically one continuation of the other. The Capanne beach is a quieter and more unspoilt coast line on the side that heads towards the Pineta del Tombolo: this is the point where you have to go to be able to lie on the sand away from the umbrellas and the beach chairs.
The entire stretch that includes the three beaches mentioned between Castiglione della Pescaia, Marina di Grosseto and Principina a Mare is enclosed by the mouths of the two rivers: the river Bruna to the north and the river Ombrone to the south. The stretch of beach between Le Marze and the emissary canal of San Leopoldo is also flanked by a beautiful pine forest.
